 Donté's Gift Express began around the value of family. The value of family often gets lost during the holiday season. With that in mind, we are unwrapping the joy of family this holiday season by delivering gifts with handwritten notes to families on randomly selected streets in East Cleveland on December 22, 2018. Powered by Neighborhood Connections, we will deliver 500 gifts to 500 families this year.
Why you ask? Because it's our responsibility to build where we live. Created by Donté Gibbs - a East Cleveland native having graduated from Shaw High School and Case Western Reserve University; Donté put together a team of friends to implement this annual event. The Team: Donté, India, Dominique, and Seretha all grew up in East Cleveland. The team reflects by saying, “Growing up in East Cleveland teaches you a few things, one of them being that we have two hands - one to help ourselves and the other hand to help others.” All money raised between now and December 5th will go towards the purchasing of gifts for 500 families in East Cleveland; the most ever in a single year in the history of this event!
